Fearless. Stronger: ORIX METRO 2020 Branch Heads Convention

ORIX METRO Branch Heads from all over the country converged at the New World Makati Hotel from March 6-7 for the 2020 Branch Heads Convention. With the theme “Fearless. Stronger”, this year’s convention highlighted how ORIX METRO was fearless in facing the challenges of 2019 and emerged stronger, ready to deal with any difficulties in the future head-on.

President Teting Tan welcomed delegates to the two-day annual event and shared the Company’s financial performance for fiscal year 2019.

SVP/Branches Group Head Jun Bacabac rallied the participants to rise above the challenges brought about by crises that took place during the first five months of fiscal year 2020 – the Southern Mindanao earthquake last November, Taal Volcano eruption last January and the now developing COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Bacabac expressed confidence that like real “champions, warriors and elite individuals” who are fearless and strong, the participants will make the best of the worst of circumstances.

The conference’s guest of honour was Lt. Gen Cirilito Sobejana, a Philippine Army General Officer, who gave a talk on courage and determination as he shared his experience in the battlefield.

Considered one of the country’s living heroes, Lieutenant General Sobejana is a recipient of the country’s highest military award, the Medal of Valor, an award equivalent to the Congressional Medal of Honor in USA.

Other guest speakers include TV host/speaker/coach Anthony Pangilinan who engaged the participants in a timely discussion on winning the game in today’s challenging marketplace; Audie Masigan, Managing Director of MWLEADS Management Consulting and Dr. Alvin Ang of Ateneo de Manila University-Department of Economics.
